EGGERS, Jessie "Jake" - Putnam

Jesse (Jake) Egger, 81, died at his home near here Wednesday evening last week following a three-month illness with a complication of ailments. He was born September 3, 1860, near Barnard, the son of Jesse and Sarah Morphew Eggers. He was married October 23, 1884 to Emily McFerran. He was second married to Lillie Florence Housh October 14, 1886, at Hiawatha, Kansas. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church of Roachdale. Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Arthella Higgins and Mrs. Lora Barker both of near here, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Chastain funeral home Friday afternoon.
